What is Project PEACH?

Project PEACH is a two-year study that aims to increase the use of HIV and sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention options among men who have sex with men. The study is offering four prevention options: 1) Daily Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), 2) On-Demand PrEP, 3) Injectable PrEP, and 4) STI Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP).

During the study, participants will be offered opportunities to start taking HIV PrEP and STI PEP to help prevent HIV/STI infections. Both prevention options involve taking medications. Participants will not be required to take any of these, they are optional. Participation activities will include the following:

  • Attending study visits either in-person or virtually.

  • Providing lab specimens either self-collected at home or at a study visit.

  • Downloading and using the study app on a mobile phone.

  • Completing online study surveys.

  • Participants will be paid for most of the study activities over the course of the 24-month study.
